You say you want war You say you want war This is what you asked for All against all All against all This is what you asked for And all your riches And all your rents can't Keep us out And all your titles And all your trinkets can't Keep you safe And all your excuses That you call ideas can't Keep us out What you reap Is what you sew And what we eat Is what you've grown This is what you asked for And all your garlands And all your guard dogs can't Keep us out And all your trespass And all your tithes can't Keep you safe And all of your wisdom That builds all your walls can't Keep us out It's coming It's coming now

Absent 06:32
Close the door turn down the light tonight we go absent from the world Forget their eyes and the small brutalities Won't flinch at the scars inflicted and undeserved Tomorrow will rise again do battle with the world tonight just be a friend We'll plot and scheme to seize the means of our providence We'll take our share and leave the fighting to the dogs For while we sleep there are those who dream of undoing the peace They'll get their turn once we're reminded and restored Tomorrow will rise again do battle with the world tonight just be a friend Tonight we go absent from the world

about

ROSH is pleased to release the first single from his new album, 'Ask The Minute Hand'.

'This Is What You Asked For' was written about the class of billionaires, bosses, owners and opportunists who claim that we cannot have dignity and justice as it is 'too expensive' and that 'it's too soon'. It a song against those who profit from a system that enriches too few and immesirates too many; who would rather see us turn on each other than build a new world. We live in the world this class of people have made - with its inequality, crises and upheaval - and they must lie in the bed they have made.

The digital single also includes another track from 'Ask The Minute Hand' - 'Absent'. It's a song about reminding yourself about what you're fighting for to better arm you for the struggles ahead.
